Air Jordan 3 Retro White/Cement Grey
    Photobucket

Much like the Air Jordan 11 model, we have received a retro Air Jordan 3 annually for the past few years (”True Blue” Air Jordan 3 in 2009 & Air Jordan 3 Black/Cement Grey in 2008). However, we have not seen this particular colorway since it retroed in 2003. Additional rumors have circulated about this shoe being a part of an upcoming Air Jordan Slam Dunk Pack for 2010

The uppers are done in all white, with tumbled leather comprising both the midfoot and mudguard panels. Touches of silver are used on the heel labels, surrounding the Jumpman logo and on the “23″ embroidery. Many readers listed this model at the top of the “Silver Anniversary” run of colorways alongside the Air Jordan 11, so even at a markup rate, these may go quick.

Nike Sportswear Energy release the following three marquee Air Force 1 Highs for February of 2010. Two men’s models include a Supreme Hi QS inspired by outdoor and workwear as well as a Supreme TZ based on basketball’s yearly affair which brings together the season’s mid-season best. Rounding out the releases is a women’s Stud Premium LE QS which features a clean black leather upper accentuated by silver rivets. All styles will be available at select retailers this month.

    Nike Air Max 95 “Neon”

The Air Max 95 in Neon Yellow is arguably the most famous Nike runner ever. Alongside the Air Max 1 OGs and the 90s, these shoes changed the face of sneaker colorways as we know them, and still represent something special 15 years after their first release. While they did retro at the beginning of 2009, an additional production run has been produced for 2010.

Is America moving to the Right?

And so the clock goes toc
“To the right, to the right, everyone in American moves back to the right”? Now, picture Mr. Bill O’Reilly singing this distorted version of Beyonce’s Irreplaceable in order to characterize the current state of American politics. True, it might be kind of weird but Mr. O’Reilly might be on to something here. After the 2008 election America was the furthest left it had ever been for the simple fact of electing a black man who had one of the most liberal records in the senate into office. However it is appearing that this violent push left might be short-lived with the recent events that have transpired. I mean who would have thought in replacement to the late senator ted Kennedy of Massachusetts , a republican, a conservative would have been elected. Most might just brush this off as a result to the democrats over confidence, but maybe this is saying more. This decision seems to reflect American’s lack of trust in their government officials. This might be due to unfulfilled promise (come on how dumb could Americans be to actually believe Obama was going to give them guns and butter at the same time). Have many Americans begun distrusting their savior from Bushwhacked politics?

With all the wild rumors going on I would not be surprised if this were the case. If Obama was a mason or if he was trying to enslaves the country in a New World Order conspiracy maybe this country was better off with a president who could barely differentiate between his ABCs and 123s. The Bible does warn us “by his fair speeches he deceives the hearts of the simple”. With this realization maybe American are coming to some kind of conclusion that it is time for this pendulum we call American politics to move back to right. If you turn left so many times eventually you make a right. I am very sure Mr. O’Reliy would agree to that. It is very astonishing that the Fox News Network…at one point the most hated News Network have the highest trust ratings of another other American news cooperates at 49% compared to CNN at 39%. 64% of Americans have some sort of inclination to distrust Obama administration if they believe he is not being scrutinized enough even with all the opposition of health care he has been receiving. The only thing I can completely disagree with is Mr O’Reilly belief that Fox News Network gives voice to both the left and the right is just ludicrous and even laughable. On a lighter side even in pop culture America might be going to their biblical conservative roots as Taylor Swift, a southern conservative Christian won the Grammy for best album…or maybe the public still just feels sorry for the stunt Kanye West pulled…

“Government /politics is much like a lung. It inhales to take in air to expand, get bigger to solve a country’s problem, but eventually it has to exhale and release all the air thus contracting all the failed policies .”

Meanwhile for “The U” as signing day nears they look to snag some high profile recruits (hopefully offensive linemen), as they are entrenched in a recruit war with the usual suspects Florida State, North Carolina, LSU, and Florida …shoutout Tim Tebow 6-8 passing for 50 yards and 2 fumbles in yesterday’s Senior Bowl.

In a third release, UNDFTD and Converse join forces to serve up a navy version of their popular Poorman Weapon. This time around, the sneaker comes packaged with an MA-1 Flight Jacket and a Flight Helmet Bag. A release is slated for January 29th, 2010.

Rumors have been circulating about yet another Air Jordan 11 that you least expected to return in 2010. The “Snake Skin” Air Jordan 11 Retro Low will make a return some time this year. If you recall, this particular sneaker first showed its face in 2001 for $115. It features a navy blue snake skin mudguard in place of the patent leather seen on most Air Jordan 11s.

Jordan VI “Laker” Black suede is used as the base on the toe box, forefoot and mid-panel. The remainder of the upper is done with black 3M reflective material. A white and black midsole is complimented with the standard icy clear outsole bits. The Lakers-tribute comes in with the contrast stitching that appears throughout the upper, which has been done with purple, yellow and white thread.

Nike has concocted a new Blazer colorway that will leave some with the Air Jordan XI “Space Jams” on their minds. This Blazer Hi has an all-black upper and sits atop a white sole. A blue trim separates the upper and midsole and pushes the overall shoe towards a likeness of the Space Jams.

The white/black Air Jordan 6 will be available at Footlocker and other Jordan Brand accounts Saturday, March 20th.

Trending Thursday: The Damages of Turning off the Fan

    Turning off the Fan

A Fan (noun):object used to displace or transfer heat

Counter-intitutive that a fan would be used during the dead of winter. Our daily tactics include evading student loan debt while waiting to hit a nice tax-return off the pick n roll its one of fun aspects of the day to watch Bret Farve’s Superbowl run. Childhood teams and up & coming players defy the odds in the limelight around this time of year. With twitter, yahoo sports, and TMZ on a 24 hour news stream any athlete that reflects are values life is at our fingertips. Unfortunately this access which has facilitated game attendance, shoe sales, and over athletes net worth is under attack by ESPN.

Anti-trust laws are laws dealing with large amounts of property owned by one person for a party benefit. Lawsuits to encourage and help competition among various markets. They are also broken up as a way to prevent market failure meaning a lack of a product thus driving up the prices for consumers or limiting the amount of the product to go available. Some famous anti-trust lawsuit include tAT&T, Kodak, Standard Oil Company and Microsoft. In 1890 the Sherman Act and the Clayton Act in 1914 gave the United States government authority to investigate and tackle those business suspected of breaking these trust laws.

Supporting sports is fan but it’s a chore. as a fan when you get a chance to hear your favorite athlete speak with no chaser its a cool bonus for your hobby as money spent on DirecTV League Pass, ticket prices, isn’t growing on trees. Unfortunately ESPN has hated on that opportunity by working out a backroom deal with the major leagues that athletes can’t tweet 45 mins before or after the game. Besides the childish undertone this application of defying basic understanding of our Anti-trust law, it does take away some of my joy in sports.

While ESPN does offer extensive research and a wide array of commentators/’characters that are seemingly show our values, we are in it to watch the athletes and not more ‘talking heads’. I would love to turn on the TV and watch players PR team & attorneys talk directly to the media and appear on ‘Around The Horn’ side-by-side with journalists. Jemele Hill isn’t needed to explain the black KFC with Red Drink version of Shannon Brown’s jumpoffs around LA… I rather hear it from him, his team, or the girls mouths. With the New York Times charging for exclusive, well-researched, and educated information, anything we pay for in the media should meet similar standards. The question isn’t, is ESPN attacking the public’s space and access to athletes, it’s more of an urging to make sports truly about providing more access to the fan.

    The Shoe Rule Vol I

On ‘Around the Horn’ Los Angeles Times Collumist J.A. Anadae coined the “Shoe Rule” and said players like Russell Westbrook should adhere to it. With microsoft twitter star @russwest44 seems to ignore an open Nike creamsicle baller Kevin Durant, still hoisted up an off the mark jumper to lose the game against the Denver Nuggets. Besides the fact that Westbrook could be on his way to Kevin Durant status if he would had stayed at UCLA a while longer some aint “ready for the heavy so they keep it light as joggin gear”. Only a hater would believe The “Shoe rule” is not broken. This weekend im going to discuss more of these #swaggerless actions and how this strain of #bitchassness is spreading to other industries.
